Reflect on the experience of learning how to use WeVideo for video editing. How would you feel about helping someone else learn how to use it? What did you find most interesting? What did you find most frustrating? What questions do you still have, and what parts of the tool do you want to explore more deeply?

I found WeVideo to be fun and accessible to use. The interface is very clean. The labels made sense. The experience was very intuitive. I have used other video editing softwares, like iMovie and Premiere Pro (though, this was years ago). Premiere Pro, in particular, felt like there was a lot going on that I didn’t fully understand and was intimidated to experiment with.

I feel confident in my ability to help someone learn this tool because all of the aspects of the program were labeled well. I don’t think myself or the person I’m helping would get confused by the layout.

Where the tool succeeds in simplicity, it lacks in its ability to facilitate higher-level video editing techniques. I created a video on my favorite books of 2023 thus far. This was simple because all I did was include photos of the book covers. If I wanted to get more artistic with it and represent my subconsciousness (as much as I consciously can) and consciousness while reading the books I had chosen, I might want to have words floating around a tape of me reading. I wonder if there is some aspect of WeVideo that would help me accomplish this—that I am not seeing as of now. If not, I might want to consider familiarizing myself another video editing software.
