In a blog post on your portfolio site, reflect on the experience of learning how to use Audacity for audio editing. How would you feel about helping someone else learn how to use it? What did you find most interesting? What did you find most frustrating? What questions do you still have, and what parts of the tool do you want to explore more deeply?

Audacity has been one of the more frustrating trainings for me just because my program froze as I was trying to upload my audio. I forgot that the file needed to upload had to be a .wav, or I needed to download the FFMEG library to allow for .mp4 files (I was exporting audio from Voice Memos). I also think that Audacity, as audio editing programs may often go, has to combine so many things together that trying to split and delete some snips of audio and moving pieces around could end up in accidentally looping the audio. I think that’s the sort of issue that takes more time with the program. At the beginning, it’s doesn’t feel very easy. However, there are fun aspects to the program, like adjusting what plays in the right and left ear. I didn’t know it was so easy to be able to do that! Other parts of the tool I want to explore more deeply is the “Effect” section. Because I was having trouble configuring, this was not my main focus—but maybe next time!
