Projects

Spring 2026

3D‑Printable Board Game for Transdisciplinary Research creates a 3D-printable board game to support students navigating transdisciplinary research, grounded in the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy and informed by digital critical pedagogy. The game guides players to evaluate sources beyond the academic-reliable vs. popular-unreliable binaries, recognizing valuable knowledge across scholarship, practitioner expertise, community wisdom, and lived experience. Prof. Sol Cátala-Valentín, assistant professor and research and instruction resident librarian, is the project co-lead for this.

Fall 2024 – Fall 2025

Haitian Arts Digital Crossroads aims to make the Haitian art collection of the Waterloo Center for the Arts, the largest publicly held collection of Haitian art outside the island nation, digitally accessible as a preparatory study for the creation of a digital hub for a network of online resources in Haitian and Caribbean studies. Dr. Petrouchka Moïse, assistant professor and cultural & community-based digital curator at Grinnell College, is the project co-lead for this.

Fall 2023 – 2024

Women’s Studies Worldwide aims to digitally map the global history of academic feminism from a transnational feminist lens. This is an extension of Dr. Clara Montague’s, an instructor in Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies at Grinnell College, doctoral dissertation.
