As I revisited Omeka, I wanted to do make an exhibit for stills from the sitcom Community. However, before I could work on this, I realized I didn’t know how to get to the login page. Because I recognized this struggle, I found my way to cPanel as a preliminary step. This has been especially helpful because to access WordPress to type up these responses I’ve been relying on my recently searched. This is in contrast to actually going through the steps to properly log in and such. I know that I struggled with the cPanel portion of Omeka last time

In terms of actually getting to use Omeka, I think this tool is fairly easy to experiment with. The act of coming up with metadata and adhering to Dublin Core is probably where it was most difficult for me. This gets tedious because I have to question and fact check whether something I think I know about the show is actually true and come up with a consistent standard. For example, when I wanted to indicate the name of the actor who played a particular character, I went through three iterations (“, played by [NAME],” -> “(played by [NAME])” -> ([NAME])”. I’ve come to appreciate the work of the documenter. It’s very easy to get lazy with this sort of thing.
